Hokitika

After Karamea, we rode down the west coast.  New Zealand's favorite road hazard is the one lane bridge.  If the small arrow is pointing the way you're going, you have to yield to any oncoming traffic, letting them cross the bridge first.  If you get the big arrow, oncoming traffic has to yield and let you cross first.  If you're on a motorcycle, you hope they see you!



On the way to Hokitika, we stopped at the famous Pancake Rocks.

We stayed that night in Kapitea Lodge, near Hokitika.  It is a beautiful place, with a fantastic view.  Here's the view from our room:
